My family and I like many have been following a state-wide stay-at-home order since mid-March due to COVID-19. These are a few things that I ‘ve been doing to keep busy while we try to do our part to flatten the curve and slow the spread of the virus.

1. Bake your favorite treat! Here’s a few of mine. Lemon Bars, Birthday Cake flavored treats, Molten Chocolate Cake, Cinnamon Rolls, and DoubleTree Cookies. I have a lot of great cookie recipes pinned, go check them out!

2. Binge watch some happy and funny shows. I’m loving Frozen 2, Great British Baking Show, the Good Place, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, any Jane Austen adaptation, and the New Little Women.

3. Read one of the books on your list some of my favorites are: Pride and Prejudice, Anne Of Green Gables, Historical Fiction featuring women, and Bossy Pants by Tina Fey.

4. Marie Kando Your Clothes: sort them by clothes that spark joy, clothes to donate, and clothes to recycle. Then fold all those you plan to keep using the Marie Kando method.

5. Finish a project you have been putting off: I have a felt Advent Tree I need to finish, it’s only been 6 years.

6. Listen to Podcasts while cleaning. I use the Podcast Republic.

7. Find your resume and update it. This is always something we do when looking for a job, but it is good to update anytime, especially after you’ve completed a big work project or event while the details are still fresh in your mind.

8. Update your LinkedIn account. Same as the resume. Better to update on a regular basis so you don’t forget important details.

9. Find a fun online workout and do it. Working out is a great stress reliever. I bought some yoga DVDs (Yoga Burn) that I really enjoy.

10. Reach out to your friends and family via text, phone, zoom, or mail them a card. A connection is something we are all seeking these days, I try to reach out to 5 people or more per week.

Sending something in the mail is a great way to reach out. It gives someone a pleasant surprise when they sort through their junk mail. Since we can’t spend time looking for the perfect card at the store, let me help with my handmade card sets and stationery boxes!

What are you doing to stay sane during this unprecedented time?

Hi, Amy! It’s Tiffanie from PCC! I haven’t been there since the big Vid. Many reasons. Lots to navigate. I’d love to connect! I was about to write in one of your beautiful cards to a friend that I was sending a thank you to along with some homemade goodies. I’m happy I turned the box over! Please send me an email when you have a chance. I’d love to exchange numbers and connect in a more human way. Lol. I hope you and your family are well!❤️
